Excellent, ‘legitimate’ opinion capturing the most critical fact - that the toxic Australian media cartels - Murdoch and Nine Entertainment - are well on the way to becoming of no relevance whatsoever to anything resembling informed discourse or considered discussion.

By passing msm is crucial and I am seeing fewer and fewer “free” courier mails and Australian I take them home to feed my compost bin if I find them to save the weakminded who peruse the gospels according to Murdoch Andrew Bolt The Divine. IPA dregs .👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Thanks

ALBO IS NOWHERE NEAR WHAT A GENUINE TRUE LABOR LEADER - HE HASN'T GOT WHAT IT TAKES..t is an insult for him to ride of the back of Gough Whitlam's "it time' platform... In no particular order..

Established Medibank/Medicare

Ended the death penalty for federal crimes

Invested in social housing, sewage systems, public transport

Increased school funding

Abolished Uni fees

Returned land to the Gurindji people.

Granted independence to PNG

Established diplomatic relations with China

Increased foreign aid.

Pulled the last of the troops out of Vietnam

Introduced multiculturalism as an official policy and put the last nails in the coffin of the White Australia policy.

Advocated against apartheid and atmospheric nuclear testing

Introduced no-fault divorce laws, the family court and the single mother's benefit

passed the trade practices act

Stopped the QLD libs from drilling for oil in the barrier reef

Established the Australian Heritage Commission, the Australian Council for the Arts, the National Gallery of Australia.

Kick started the Australian film and television industry (and started triple J)

Passed the racial discrimination act.

Equal pay for equal work for women and Aboriginal people. 1972.

Lowered the voting age to 18

Ended Gerrymandering

Established the Law Reform Commission and the Legal Aid Office

Allowed people from the ACT and NT to vote for the senate for the first time.

Ended conscription and freed draft dodgers.

And gave us our current national anthem.

He had his faults, but his government did more for this country in his three short years than all the Australian governments since.

Everything he has achieved will, and should be, overshadowed by his approval of more fossil fuel projects, even after we've lost towns to fires and floods.
